RACE REPORT | MotoGP Aragon 2025

Marc Marquez dominated a thrilling Sunday race under sunny skies, taking victory ahead of his brother Alex Marquez and Pecco Bagnaia. The race was full of action, overtakes, and crashes, with constant battles throughout the field, from the front runners to the midfield fighters.

The Sunday race took place in sunny weather, and fans were excited. At the start, Marc Marquez had a good launch. But Franco Morbidelli lost positions quickly, starting 3rd and dropping to 6th.

Both Pedro Acosta and Pecco Bagnaia had strong starts and gained positions. Bagnaia tried to overtake Alex Marquez for 2nd place. Meanwhile, Fabio Di Giannantonio was also moving up and was now just behind his teammate.

Acosta attacked Bagnaia, but in the next corner, Bagnaia took the position back and stayed in 3rd. On lap 2, there was a battle for 7th between Di Giannantonio and Fermín Aldeguer. At the front, Acosta passed Bagnaia again, but Bagnaia quickly took the spot back. This allowed Brad Binder to catch up with them.

Joan Mir, after a crash in Saturday’s Sprint, was holding on to 10th and having a decent race. Marc set the fastest lap. Acosta overtook Bagnaia once more, but Bagnaia took the place back again in the next corner. Morbidelli, who had dropped earlier, passed Binder and moved into 6th, but he ran wide and Binder took the position back.

At the back, Jack Miller and Maverick Viñales were battling. Viñales came out ahead, moving into 11th place.

By lap 8, Marc had built a small gap to Alex in 2nd. Bagnaia, Acosta, and Binder were closing in on Alex. A yellow flag came out after Johann Zarco crashed at Turn 12.

On lap 11, Bagnaia was close to Alex while Marc increased his lead. Binder was also pulling away from Morbidelli, their gap was over 2 seconds. Marco Bezzecchi, after a poor qualifying, was now in 13th.

Then, Brad Binder crashed at Turn 3, causing another yellow flag and leaving his teammate to fight alone for the podium. Another yellow flag came when Fabio Quartararo crashed at Turn 1.

There was a fight for 7th between Di Giannantonio, Mir, and Viñales. Mir made a strong move and passed Di Giannantonio, but Di Giannantonio took the spot back on the straight. At the finish line, Viñales almost overtook Mir but didn’t succeed. Later, Mir overtook Di Giannantonio again, with Viñales right behind. Di Giannantonio then took advantage of Viñales’ mistake and moved into 8th, ahead of Viñales.

Meanwhile, Enea Bastianini overtook Jack Miller and moved to 12th. Bezzecchi kept gaining and was now in 10th. The battle for 5th continued between Morbidelli and Aldeguer. Eventually, Viñales finally passed Di Giannantonio and took 8th.

By lap 18, Marc had a gap of over 2 seconds from Alex in 2nd. The closest battle left was for 5th. Aldeguer passed Morbidelli, but Morbidelli immediately took it back in the next corner. Bezzecchi moved into 9th, pushing Di Giannantonio down to 10th.

Another yellow flag came out when Viñales crashed at Turn 12. With two laps to go, Aldeguer again passed Morbidelli, but Morbidelli took back the position in the same corner as before.

In the end, Marc Marquez won the race, his brother Alex Marquez finished 2nd, and Pecco Bagnaia completed the podium in 3rd.
